LAHORE, FEB.2018: The Medical Affairs and Max teams of CCL Pharmaceuticals have recently launched a psychiatry certificate course for general physicians in collaboration with the College of Family Medicine Pakistan (CFMP). The initiative aims to offer better learning opportunities to family physicians in the area of neuropsychiatry. In this regard an MoU was recently signed between CCL and CFMP, which was attended by officials from CCL and CFMP.
The objective of the psychiatry course is to help doctors, especially general physicians, to better diagnose and treat the commonly underdiagnosed psychiatric issues like depression, anxiety and sleep disturbance. The first workshop of the 4-week course was recently held in Karachi and was attended by over 20 general physicians with live patient discussion. Participants had a positive feedback who appreciated CCL’s role in the education and development of doctors.
The College of Family Medicine Pakistan is a prestigious national body of family physicians accredited with the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council for conducting continuous medical education (CME) programs.
