LAHORE, MAY 2019: CCL employees volunteered this Ramzan to raise valuable funds for the Dilawar Hussain Foundation Primary School children in a humble bid to spread smiles among 150 primary school kids in Kamahan. CCL Group runs this school as a part of its social responsibility program.
As part of this social responsibility activity CCL employees voluntarily raised valuable funds from friends and family to buy goody bags comprising Eid clothing, color pencils, gifts, drawing books, paints, and a host of other surprise items like chocolates and candies.
“Employee volunteerism as a practice of corporate social responsibility aids CCL in strengthening employee satisfaction and retention internally and by strengthening our reputation and connection with stakeholders externally,” remarks Shoaib Ahmed, Chief HR Officer.
“It started with a simple idea of doing something for the children and when we discussed it among the HR team, it all took the shape of a wonderful campaign culminating into a volunteer activity,” says Naoman Pervaiz, HRBP Commercial.
“We thank all donors and volunteers who raised valuable funds to spread smiles on the faces of our school children,” remarked Mohammad Jafri, Program Director Dilawar Hussain Foundation which runs the school and a diabetes management center.
From buying gifts to wrapping them into presentable, exciting goody bags for children all volunteers were full of passion and enthusiasm to bring smiles to these kids. Later the team went to the school and spent a few hours in handing over the gifts to the children.
