SHOGRAN, MAY 2018: CCL’s Adventure Club recently organized a breathtaking 2-day excursion tour in which over 38 CCL colleagues had lasting memories of the enchanting destinations including Sri, Paye, and Shogran. Shoaib Ahmed, Chief Human Resource Officer CCL also joined the group as part of excursion.
Happy fellows left CCL’s Head Office at mid-night on Friday and made a bee-line for the Lahore-Islamabad Motorway, stopping at Abbottabad for a delicious breakfast. The travelers refreshed themselves with a strong cup of tea before driving to Mansehra, Balakot and onwards to Kawai.
Kawai onwards was a steep climb to the Shogran plateau, which offered a splendid view of a fabulous array of mountains, amid pine trees and lush green meadows. Snippets and lilting song kept the travelers occupied throughout the pleasurable journey until they reached Shogran on Saturday for lunch at Hill Top Hotel. Visitors were overawed by the spectacular beauty of its mountains, glaciers and lush greenery.
This was followed by a wonderful drive to Siri and Paye meadows, fabled spots of inspiring beauty, which offered the travelers great scenic beauty for selfies and group photos. Its charm and splendor, is embedded in the memories ever since the group members landed at this vibrant, enchanting hideout with fabulous treks and bountiful thrills of walk in the valley.
The team had a delicious bar-b-q dinner and watched a movie but the natural beauty of Siri Paye, truly offered a carefree weekend adventure, away from the stressful day to day routine for the dwellers of Punjab plains. The group hit the road again on Sunday, had the brunch at Balakot and later dinner at Bhera before reaching Lahore late night, tired yet inspired with the beauty of nature.
