Being aware of overall health and well being is important so that one can detect early symptoms and seek professional help when necessary. While illnesses like cough, flu, fever, migraine and other chronic diseases are detectable due to physical symptoms, many people are unsure about looking after their mental health. This is why, it mostly goes unnoticed and people keep suffering in secret or don’t understand the illness.
Mental illness affect 19% of adult population, 46% of teenagers and 13% of children each year. However only half of these affected receive treatment, often due to the stigma attached to mental health. “My Mental Health” is a social platform committed to raising awareness against mental health problems. Our aim is to reduce stigma surrounding mental health disorders.
