LAHORE, JULY 2019: An emotionally charged and engaging farewell ceremony was recently held for Kashif Sajjad Sheikh, CCL’s former Chief Executive Officer, who has been elevated as Chairman of the Board of Directors to pursue Group’s vision and long-term goals. Over 200 employees of CCL attended the ceremony including Kashif’s family and a few board members, which was held at the auditorium in CCL’s Head Office.
The event was hosted by Shoaib Ahmed, Chief HR Officer, who kept the audience enthralled with his rib-tickling comments and dazzling sense of humor. As Kashif made his entry to the auditorium, all employees covered their faces with masks showing his face, with a background sound track of ‘stand up for the champion,’ by Right Said Fred.
Kashif Sheikh began the evening with an insightful presentation highlighting the need of transformation. “CCL’s transformation journey will be driven by a split in verticals such as CCL Pakistan, International Operations and diversifications. Governed by different boards of directors, CEO/President, and leaderships these operations will guide our future growth aspirations,” remarked Kashif Sajjad Sheikh. He invited both the leaders, Dr. Shahzad Khan and Atif Siddiqui, and wished them the best of luck in their future roles.
“We all know that the global business environment is continuously evolving at a rate never seen or imagined before. We fully realize that organizations which timely embrace and adapt are the ones which excel. I have the comfort of knowing that I leave CCL in the competent hands of Dr. Shahzad Khan and Atif Siddiqui. Both are experienced, caring, and energetic leaders. They are fully capable of taking the business to new levels while working in a dynamic business environment. I assure them of my personal support and value addition as the Chairman of Board of Directors,” he added.
Later Dr. Shahzad Khan presented a nostalgic tribute to Kashif, which was followed by Atif Siddiqui’s remarkable anthology of management lessons that he learnt from Kashif. The event included some emotional tributes by longstanding employees; speaking at the occasion, Kashif recalled moments from his successful tenure at CCL and recognized the efforts of those who had worked with him.
“It brings me immense pride looking at what we have built together as a team of professionals. We have accomplished a lot, including our vision of making CCL a multinational company from Pakistan, which is a huge honor in itself. I have no words to express my feelings for the love and affection that I have for our CCL family.
