SEOUL, APRIL 2019: Dr. Qaddafi Jahangir, Director Business Development & Innovation CCL, recently participated in an event, BOOM UP KOREA, which was organized by Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) under the banner of Global Business Partnering Week 2019. The event was held at the Grand Intercontinental Hotel Parnas, Seoul and was attended by 150 international buyers and over 500 Korean companies of different industries. The purpose of the event was to support the globalization of Korean companies so they can become explore business opportunities and expansion overseas.
We are humbled by the fact that KOTRA invited CCL Pharmaceuticals from Pakistan’s pharmaceutical industry for participation as a sponsored guest for B2B meetings with select pharmaceutical and healthcare organizations of Korea. We had a series of fruitful meetings with top-level business development executives who wanted to exchange and discuss business opportunities in a city which is a hi-tech hub in East Asia,” remarked Dr. Qaddafi Jahangir.
“It was an excellent opportunity for partnering from prescription to OTC drugs, companion diagnostics, nutraceuticals, and medical devices including development, licensing, marketing, promotion, and distribution,” he added.
KOTRA had arranged meetings with 8 leading healthcare organizations of Korea: DongWha, Boryang, HanWha, Guju, Dasan, Cho-A, Ahngook, Hanlim. Taking the opportunity, Dr. Jahangir also scheduled meetings with a few other manufacturing companies for in-licensing and distribution rights of innovative products from companies like Shinpoong, Yongyoong, JMBio, Dongkoo, Ildong, BCWP, Yuhan, Phil Int. etc.
