Amna talked about the World Consumer Rights Day, its history and purpose, consumer protection laws in Pakistan and how consumer can approach the court of law for remedial procedures.
A similar awareness session was held by Amna Iqbal at CCL’s office which was attended by 30 participants from various departments. Information leaflets were designed containing basic information about consumer rights with the help of the Paraxyl team under the umbrella of its campaign “Because Awareness Matters” and was distributed among all employees for deeper awareness.
The consumer movement marks 15th March with World Consumer Rights Day every year, as a means of raising global awareness about consumer rights and needs. Celebrating the day is a chance to demand that the rights of all consumers are respected and protected, and to protest against market abuses and social injustices which undermine those rights.
