LAHORE, MARCH 2019: Pakistan Association of Urological Surgeons (PAUS) Lahore Chapter recently held UROSUMMIT from 8th to 10th March 2019 at the Nishat Hotel, Emporium Mall, Lahore.
“The world is facing new challenges in healthcare which were not imagined a few years ago. New specialties have emerged and brought a revolution in the treatment profiles of patients and urology has made a space in the new area,” remarked Prof Dr. Mohammad Nazir, Head of Urology Department, Lahore General Hospital.
CCL participated in UROSUMMIT with an informative stand including some academic activities. Over 350 leading urologists and ward doctors from various parts of the country visited the CCL stand.
As part of the conference, CCL’s Elite team had arranged a symposium on the role of Mirabegron (Mirabet) in the management of overactive bladder (OAB) by consultant Urologist Col. Dr. Qamer Zia of Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Lahore). The session was attended by over 80 leading urologists, gynecologists and physicians.
Dr. Qamer Zia discussed the issues of OAB and its management and shared the advantages of Mirabegron against anti-muscarinic agents with reference to issues and OAB prevalence in Asia and Pakistan. “Moreover a large number of patients are still undiagnosed or untreated in globally and likewise in the Asian region,” he added.
Urologists not only from Pakistan but from United Kingdom, Ireland, United States of America, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates and other countries attended the conference. The experts delivered lectures on modern techniques and methods of urology.
